Brief Explanation

What Are Some Benefits Of Ductless Mini-Split HVAC Systems?

Ductless systems are a great option for those who want to eliminate the need for running new ductwork.

They are easier to install and will save hours on labor. Some brands, like Mitsubishi, offer systems in white, silver or black.

Most people forget that they're even there because of the system's low sound levels. Ductless systems allow each space and room to have control of their own select temperature.

Heat pump ductless systems can offer the benefits of heating and cooling. When it comes to heating, ductless can save more on energy because they don't use gas to generate heat.

Not only can they save more energy as a heater, but they also save more energy all year round without losing it through poorly designed or installed ductwork.

Plus, most ductless systems have an inverter-driven compressor which eliminates the constant startup at full capacity and is what usually requiring the most energy.

Call Us Today to Schedule a FREE Quote on a New Ductless Mini-Split System for your Home or Business.

We're proud to provide the best Mitsubishi HVAC Installations in Glendale, CA and beyond!

In What Specific Ways Are Thermostats Important To HVAC?

There are many different types of thermostats and the type of thermostat installed can play an important role in your HVAC system's effectiveness and efficiency.

It is also important to know that the type of thermostat also depends on the HVAC equipment it controls.

A heat pump would use a different thermostat than one with an air conditioner and gas furnace.

Analog or non-programmable thermostats must be changed in person and in real time.

Some of these thermostats contain mercury and are hazardous if the bulb containing mercury is broken.

Programmable digital thermostats allow users to choose a temperature setting for specific times of the day.

Some of these thermostats can be very complex and difficult to program, but we're experienced and qualified on a variety of system types and brands.

What Are Some Benefits Of Smart Thermostats Though?

Smart thermostats have the ability to learn the homeowners' preferences and adjust accordingly.

They can be controlled by a tablet, smartphone or computer via Wi-Fi connectivity.

Some can also sense movement in the home and adjust temperature settings when someone arrives home or if the home is empty.

These type of thermostats are the most modern ones used today.

One of our customers uses their building for different group activities and events and each room is occupied during different times of the day and week.

To help with the this customer's busy schedule, we installed (8) Honeywell LCBS Connect thermostats with Gateway for remote connectivity.

These thermostats each control their own AC system and provide 24-hour monitoring for our service technicians.

Our technicians will be able to connect to the thermostats from anywhere and obtain an analysis of how the system is performing.

We'll be able to address issues before anything becomes serious and modify settings and configurations to correct problems.

If you own a building that operates various tasks, call us to see how we can provide energy and cost savings while keeping your building's occupants comfortable.

Reach out and give us a call today to assist with your Smart Thermostat Installation needs in Van Nuys, CA.

Any Perks To Our Financing?

This homeowner ended up financing his two new HVAC units: a 2 ton Lennox Elite Series condenser and along with a Lennox Merit Series furnace.

We soon discussed the different promotional options available to him and gave him an idea as to how much the monthly payments would look like.

We then received an instant credit decision and was able to start and complete his project the following day.

What Was Up With This Ductwork?

This customer was experiencing some issues in how a fair amount of rooms within her home were not getting enough warm or cool air.

Upon conducting an in-depth examination of her system, we found that the reason for her discomfort was due to poor airflow from a vastly undersized return duct.

Improper airflow reduces an HVAC system's capacity and efficiency and can quickly make a home uncomfortable to live in.

Such an issue can make a system run longer than necessary and increase energy bill much higher than they should be.

Also, some severe long term effects can be brought about to a system due to having improperly sized or installed ductwork such as reducing the lifespan of the compressor or causing cracks to the heat exchanger.

In this specific customer's case, we ended up enlarging the exposed return duct, can and grill in order to better facilitate the flow of air and get everything back up running smoothly and freely once again.

We also installed air balancing dampers and measured airflow to make sure every room was receiving the right amount of airflow to ensure the highest level of performance and comfort possible.

Overall, this ductwork replacement project couldn't have gone better, and our customer couldn't have been happier with us getting her home's air flowing again once more.

We're your local exceptional HVAC professionals when it comes to Ductwork Replacement in Los Angeles, California.

Why Do Two-Stage Compressors Have Lower Electric Bills?

Two-stage compressors, such as this Samsung Mini Split unit, run at full capacity when you need them to and at a lower level when you don't.

These systems cycle on and off less frequently than a single stage unit, yet not as continuously as a variable speed.

Most of the electricity from your air conditioner is actually drawn from when your unit turns on, not from while it's running.

As you can see, if your air conditioner is constantly turning on and off all day long, then this can easily hike up your monthly electric bill.

Small, more compact systems such as the one which we installed for this client are not only smaller and easier to manage but will save you from expending lots more time, hassle, and money.

Brief Explanation

What Type Of Trane Package Unit Was This Installation?

We recently conducted a 7.5 Ton Trane Installation of a package unit with dual compressors for a local commercial customer in the Santa Fe Springs, CA area.

As far as size goes, this project definitely has lots of it, but we were nevertheless able to install it efficiently and in a time effective manner.

Especially during these hot California months, our phones tend to light up like gangbusters whenever people start experiencing issues with their air conditioning and cooling systems.

In fact, we recently just experienced a weekend where we received more than 105+ calls asking for and about local HVAC assistance in the greater El Monte, California area!

All across the San Gabriel Valley and even slightly beyond, we're ready and properly equipped to provide top-notch

Surely This Package Unit Didn't Actually Weight 7.5 Tons, Right?

No, this Trane package unit which we installed didn't weigh anywhere near that amount.

"Tons" when used in relation to HVAC units actually refer to the amount of heating output that the unit is capable of.

One Ton of cooling power is equal to 12,000 BTUs/hr, and 12,000 BTUs/hr is the precise amount of heat which is required to melt 1 Ton of ice within a 24 hour time period.

If you really want to get specifics, 1 BTU (aka British thermal unit) is the amount of energy that it takes to heat up a single pound (lb) of water by 1°F.

So if you really think about it, if used at full blast for an extended period of time, this Trane installation package which we helped to put in is technically capable of melting 7.5 tons of ice within 24 hours time.

And if you really want to push the math, potentially capable of raising 90,000 separate pounds of water by 1°F.

Conversions aside though, just know that a 7.5 ton dual compressor Trane unit is more than capable of properly cooling most spaces in Santa Fe Springs.

Job Details

Location of Job: El Monte, CA
When: Jun 26, 2018
Service Category: Commercial
Services Performed: Walk-In Freezer & Condensation Drain Line Repair
Brief Explanation

What Was Involved With This Project?

We recently assisted a commercial customer who was experiencing some severe issues with their walk-in freezer which needed to be addressed correctly and as soon as possible.

For this customer's walk-in freezer, we found that a very unfortunate situation had occurred which was compromising the entire overall integrity of the system.

Apparently, the main condensation drain line had become corrupted at some point in time and soon became completely frozen to a crisp.

Several portions of the pipeline had burst from ice freezing and expanding within it.

The main purpose of a walk-in freezer's condensation drain line is that it helps to remove any sort of moisture that may become collected by the air conditioner’s evaporator coil which then goes into a drain pan.

The heating element for the drain pan stopped working and caused all the condensation to freeze over, thus, bursting the pipe and leaving a fair portion of the walk-in freezer in nearly complete and utter disarray.

As a result, we had to remove over 80 gallons of ice from the unit!

Once this was completed, we then proceeded with replacing both the faulty heating element along with all the compromised piping which had burst from the freezing condensation within it.

Brief Explanation

Do We Service Walk-In Cooler Evaporators?

We helped a local customer out with their walk-in cooler evaporator replacement in the Sylmar, California area.

They were initially unsure if we'd be able to help them out with this service since this project seemed more on the commercial kitchen and restaurant side of things versus say an air conditioner or a furnace.

But as one of the best HVAC businesses around, we're more than able to happily help out our local customers with all their heating and air needs, and that includes cooling as well.

This customer's old unit was a Chandler cooler evaporator which was already on its last leg so to speak.

Once we conducted the replacement and made sure that everything was properly in order and in place, our customer was figuratively, and almost literally, blow away by the brand new updated power of their new dual-fan cooler evaporator unit.

Needless to say, they hopefully won't be left out in the cold in regards to having quality cooling and large-storage refrigeration for a long, long time.

I would like to commend this company on their professionalism and competence of their entire staff! most companies will give you a song and dance of what you need, and this can only be done if you do this and so on. but from the first call I made to them Jay the gate keeper or the dispatcher in this case, was very calm, professional and explained to me that although they were booked for the day, he would see if he could get me work in. As it was in the 100's all this week, I continued to look around on a Friday at 12:00pm knowing I had little chance of success with labor day coming on Monday. To my surprise Jay called me back, and Phil showed up at the time designated was certified and quickly solved my problem. so if you're looking for great friendly service with a company who will not cheat you and do you right the very first time, I really recommend this company to you.

After having another company state that the $600 circuit board was bad, and then failing to show up (after I took the day off work), Franklin showed up and found that there was a short in the system from condenser to the unit in the attic (Shorts are very difficult to locate, especially when they are intermittant). He corrected it, tested it, and left. I was still having some issues with the system, and called back. They were VERY apologetic, and came back within hours. He found that there were some worn wires on the roof, that only shorted out when the wind hit wires and moved them. Because of this, they re-wired the entire system, at NO FURTHER CHARGE. It was included in the original charge. They were so great, I bought a three year maintenance plan, and the total bill was still less than the original company quoted. If I could give them 10 stars I would. These guys are honest, and they care a great deal about customer satisfaction, and even vacuumed the carpet under the attic access, because a tiny bit of insulation fell out. I just cannot say enough good things about CWP Heating and Air in Whittier. If you have any problems. Call these guys.

Don't Let Your Air Ducts Erupt!

They're vital to every single HVAC system out there.

The Best ACs Are Nothing Without Proper Ductwork.

You could have an AC that makes the cleanest, crisp cold air in the world, but if you don't have at least some half-decent ductwork to transport it, then it's all for nothing.

Ductwork is often an overlooked aspect of HVAC systems, especially to homeowners, but without it, the whole system collapses in on itself.

Air ducts help to not only transport the moving air but also help to specifically guide it and regulate it to various spaces and confinements.

Ductwork that's defective can cause: higher electric bills, AC units to work overtime more than needed, and worst of all, make your stress and frustration levels rise.
